Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026

This policy describes what information is handled when you read neodymics.com, how the operator uses it and what choices you have. The operator is the person or organisation running Neodymics, and when this page says we, it means that operator.

What our servers record

When a page about a hub motor or a battery guide is requested, the server that delivers it keeps a routine log entry. That entry can include your IP address, the time of the request, the page asked for, the browser and device type and the page that sent you here. We use these records to keep the site online, to investigate errors and abuse, and to see in broad terms which subjects readers want more of.

Cookies and similar storage

Neodymics may use cookies or comparable browser storage. Some are needed for pages to display properly. Others, where switched on, count audience numbers, remember a setting, help serve advertising or note which link led a visitor to a shop so that an affiliate referral can be credited. A cookie placed by an outside provider is governed by that provider’s own policy.

Controlling tracking in your browser

You can block or clear cookies in your browser, browse privately or add tools that restrict trackers. If your browser sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we will honour it as an opt-out wherever the tools we use make that possible. Blocking certain cookies may change how parts of the site behave, for example embedded videos of installations.

Emails and forms

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you choose to add, such as a description of your bike or a photo of a wiring problem. We use it to read and answer you, to fix mistakes in articles and to keep a record of the exchange. Your emails are never passed on for marketing, and a quotation from one appears on the site only after you agree to it.

Newsletters

If Neodymics offers a newsletter or a sign-up form, the details you enter are used only to deliver what you asked for. Each mailing explains how to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us by email to remove you.

Outside services we rely on

A site like this depends on providers beyond the operator. They may include hosting and content delivery, analytics, advertising and affiliate networks, and embedded material such as video or maps showing cycling routes. These providers may receive technical details about your visit so their service can function, and they handle that data under their own privacy notices.

How long data is kept

Visit logs are not kept indefinitely: after a short working period they are erased or boiled down to counts that identify nobody. Emails are kept while they remain useful for answering you, correcting an article or meeting a legal duty, and are removed once that need has passed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to some uses and to withdraw consent you gave earlier. To make a request, email [email protected] and explain what you want. Before acting on a request we may ask for proof that the email address is yours, and we will answer within the time limit that applies where you live.

Younger readers

Neodymics is written for a general audience interested in bikes and electric conversions and is not aimed at children under 13. Nothing on the site is designed to gather personal details from young readers. If a child has sent us details, let us know and we will delete them.

Keeping information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, including secure connections and limited access to the inbox. Nothing sent over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Data crossing borders

Providers that support the site may process information in other countries, where data protection rules can differ from those where you live. By using Neodymics you accept that your information may travel in this way.

Updates to this policy

This policy will be rewritten if the way the site handles data changes, for instance after adding a new analytics tool or a mailing list. The effective date above shows when the current version began, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.

Complaints and consent

You may take back any consent you gave us at any point; what happened before stays lawful. Our cookie policy page sets out which cookies are used and how to change your mind about them. You also have the right to complain to a regulator: your local data protection authority in the EU, EEA or UK (the ICO in the UK), or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in Australia.
